This was the shot I was looking for all day. It wasn't exactly well-marked (actually it wasn't marked at all!), but I found it by taking the road out of town. After walking up the hill along the forest for a ways I noticed a dirt path leading off the side of the road down into the woods. Sure enough, it led to a clearing with a perfect view of the falls and old town. Bingo!
