Site 1 of the mysterious and enigmatic Plain of Jars near Phonsavon in Lao. The 4000 year old jars are believed to have been used to house burial offerings, so this is probably a very old grave yard. There are 3 sites open to toursits and 59 known sites all together ... the other 56 remain closed due to the danger of UXO's (unexploded ordinances). Many more sites are believed to be hidden by the jungle.
