Where is the address of Chennai restaurent in Batam ???. I am in Batam now from Chennai .
Hi Mohan, from my experice in Batam, I never came across any Chennai or South Indian food there. There is one Thiripurasundari Temple in Batam, thats the only South Indian touch which you could find in Batam Island.

I was in Batam for 4 months working in Tanchun Unchang (sorry for the spelling).... was staying in Palm Springs apartments, next to Maharaja Hotel (not the one near the Shopping mall, both are run bu the same group). Fod is OK.. you get all Dosa, Thali food, CHapathi, Parotta....all Indian stuff..
I even got a bottle of home made pickles from them.
Now as per plan, i will be in Batam from Feb 2012 (end date or year not known)...
We might meet somewhere...i am presently in Angola but from Chennai
Hi Kowshick, thank you so much for your message and the additional information. Its good to know that those are available in Palm Springs without a problem. I have been there but did not know that they served those food. I do travel in and out of Indonesia quite often but am based in Malaysia. Do you have Facebook? Lets do get in touch there please.

hello there, such a beautiful place to visit, cant wait to tavel to batam on june, can u suggest a nice place to come at batam area? specially for honeymoon trip
Hello Maya, thank you for the lovely comment. If you are going for such a special trip, I would strongly recommend to stay at Telunas Beach Resort (formerly KTM Beach Resort). On the contrary, good city hotels are Novotel Batam, Mercure Batam, Harris Hotel Batam Centre & The BCC Hotel & Residence. Hope the above helps and have a great trip there. :)
