Hard to believe we ever actually made it to Belgrade at this pace. This was as the train was picking up speed! Sometimes it went even slower. Sometimes it stopped altogether for no apparent reason. Sometimes it stopped for red lights even though there was nothing around for miles and miles. Patience was a virtue, but unfortunately, there was no dining or bar car on the train and I was running out of snacks!
