The high admission price for the Blue Lagoon (28EUR) is mostly for the fact that one may enjoy the wonders of geothermally heated natural mineral rich pools without the fear of sudden death due to a surge of boiling hot water from the spring below. Outside the Lagoon, the same blue water exists, however if the Earth decides to turn it's temperature from 'simmer' to 'boil,' there is nothing stopping it.
