Little lad was happily knitting away whilst sitting on a stone archway. On this island, all the men wear different hats (which they knit) depending on their status. Multi-coloured for young boys, long floppy hats with white ends for single men, and depending on wear they wear it each day, reflects the mood - such as forwards means not today thank you, and to the right - I am up for it!! The married men wear different hats again, with a sort of knitted scarf thing over one shoulder. The woman have the typical bunches all the way down there back with the size of the pom-pom tied to each reflecting where they are married or single. All seems quite a straight forward courting culture really!!
