I am going on my 2nd mission trip with AGLC. The gifts that I bring are love for all people. I hope to bring laughter and the spirit of God. What I hope is to leave something better for the people that Habitat is building homes for and that that their spirits will be lifted by the joy we demonstrate through our love of Jesus.

May the Lord richly bless you on this mission trip to Guatemala, Jan. You bring joy to ministry, and that is a wonderful gift. Praying for the guardian angels to watch over you and keep you safe!
I liked that photo of you holding up the shovel....or at that point in the day, was the shovel holding you up? Great work, Jan...keep it up!
I give you and Ava so much credit, I know I wouldn't have the strength and/or energy to do that type of physical labor. Keep a goin'! I'm sure you're a real encourager to the team.
I read the blog this morning and enjoyed the pictures of all the smiling children. How blessed you are to be experiencing the joy and appreciation of the people as you labor among them. When I read about the brick that you had been working on broke, my heart sank knowing how difficult it must be to get a brick ready to be laid and then the disappointment and frustration you must have felt when it broke. I'm praying that your day will go better today. We miss all of you are look forward to hearing more about your trip.
Jan, keep determined in spite of splitting bricks...oh, how disappointing! Thank you for your perserverance in this calling. As you are a blessing to others, you more than likely are receiving the blessing as well. Looking forward to hearing your report about this experience for the Lord! Your pal, Lois
