Liberty Memorial, a monument to those who served in WWI, has been recognized by the U.S. Congress as "Americas National WW1 Museum." The tower, standing 217 feet above its base, offers elevator rides to the top for a birds-eye view of Kansas City, Missouri. An eternal flame lights the top of the tower. It is the largest WWI monument in the U.S. Completed in 1926; the museum complex was restored in 2002
