On the Muslim New Year the kids run around after dark dressed up in whatever they can find (often boys are in their mothers skirts), paint their faces and ask for a Salibo..which is the American equivalent of 'trick or treat' except it happens on three major holidays instead of one and usually its rice thats given not candy. They often perform a little dance or song before they ask for Salibo.
