We stopped at a great place in Montevideo called the Hotel Palacio. It´s located on the edge of the Old Town, so is in a fantastic old building with an ornate lift . It just reminded me of one of those Film Noir from Hollywood. I expected Humphrey Bogart to walk out the lift! The couple who run the hotel were really helpful, and made sure we knew where not to go for a walk in Montevideo at night.
