The prominent building is the ruins of the Industrial Exhibition Building, made of steel-reinforced concrete. The shell of the building was badly damaged but survived the A-Bomb, and Peace Park has been built around it. It's now known as the A-Bomb Dome. In the distance you can see the stadium lights for the baseball stadium that was built after the bombing as a home for the Hiroshima Carp baseball team, a source of pride and optimism for the city. (The team has since moved to a newer stadium elsewhere.)
