One evening we were walking back to our hotel via Plaza Murillo around 8pm, discussing whether Evo would still be hard at work in his presidential palace. A small group of 10 or so people outside the palace caught Ray's eye, and before I knew what was happening he had tugged the camera from the bag and dashed across to join the group, which was a group of reporters interviewing Evo on the street! Unbelievably the security waved us through and we stood about a metre away from the man himself for about 10 minutes. A bit of a highlight for us... how often do you get that close to a president?
