Cute!! When I was in NYC's Chinatown some people did this too. I was sitting in the park and a group of 8 Chinese men came over to hang a bunch of birds in their cages in the trees, then sat down to play a game of checkers. I think they do it so the birds get a little fresh air! Hehe!
