Minarets are the towers attached to a mosque, and in Sanaa they have a very distinctive look. Five times a day the call to prayer comes from every tower in the city: "Allaahu Akbar", God is Great. If you have never heard the call the prayer echo across a city, it is very mystical and haunting.
