Directly across from my hotel, Toyoko Inn Ekimae, is the Green Rich Hotel, less than 5 minute walk from JR Matsue station. At street level in the Green Rich Hotel is a wonderful Japanese restaurant with yakitori bar. I ate here 3 nights. English menu, very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Here is a picture of the staff and manager. The young man in the striped shirt is Phong. He is a university student from Vietnam working as the manager of the yakitori bar, speaks good english and made me feel right at home. This restaurant is highly recommended!
