The day after the May 19th performance of the Turkish Air Force's acrobatic team, in honor of the 1919 landing in Samsun by Kemal Ataturk and his cohorts, to begin the struggle for Turkish independence, I encountered this member of the team in the Samsun airport. I asked him if he spoke English, which he did. So I thanked and complemented him on the previous day's performance. And we had a short chat after that. He was also a doctor, which impressed me even more.
