I'll be completely honest, I just don't quite get the Muslim "women and chastity thing" as reflected in ultra-conservative clothing like this. Many Turks struggle with it too. Although relatively few Turkish women women dress like this, Ozgur tells me that it is becoming more common all over the country.

It is NOT becoming common all over the country!! Who is Ozgur? How she can be that sure? Come on! I am from Erzurum, too. These people are usually OLD people who who wear this traditional clothes and some other clothes similar to this. Becoming common?? I totally disagree!! Is there anything wrong with wearing this? Not really! Is someone pushing these women to wear this? Completely not! They wear this because they feel comfortable!
