The air cannon actually runs off of propane and is unbelievably LOUD. When I first saw it, I thought it was one of those guns like they use at Canadian ski hills to shoot explosive canisters onto heavily snow laden slopes to clear them of potential avalanches. Nope. This thing just makes a lot of noise and is apparently used to scare bears away. It must work...we didn't see any.
