Located in downtown Amman, this mosque was built by Kind Abudullah I in 1924, soon after the establishment of Jordan. Actually, Jordan was called Trans-Jordan at that time and was still a British protectorate. The site of this mosque was also likely the site of Amman's first Mosque that was built in 640 AD.
