Essaouira itself is a laid back seaside town, at least from what we could see. Due to frequent winds, it is apparently not always a great beach area unless you like getting sandblasted, but on this trip the breezes were cool and relatively calm. There were many people walking the beach, flying kites, or playing soccer.
