Bahia palace, an apparently remarkable place of well preserved Moroccan craftsmanship and beauty. Built for Ahmed Ibn Moussa and taking nearly 15 years, it is rumored to have been done for all his concubines, their status reflected by the size of their bedrooms. There were intricately carved and painted cedar ceilings, elaborately decorated walls and fireplaces and a number of courtyards with water features and relatively well-tended greenery. While it is worth the trip, I'm not really sure we were all that impressed as we had seen finer work elsewhere in Morocco, just not on this scale.
