Rabat is the capital of Morocco translated it means "fortified Place" and is surrounded by a wall referred to as the Kasbah of the Udayas which was quite impressive. Rabat began as a settlement (Chellah) in the 3rd century BC and ultimately taken over by the Romans in 40AD.
