you always hear about the amazing fall colours in eastern canada or new england, big reds oranges and yellows of oak and maple trees... but what about the intense turnings of the small tough leaves of ground hugging plants of the north? as the tart sweetness of a ligonberry bursts in my mouth, i am in awe of the subtle intense beauty of lapland.
