Freedom Bridge is not located in or at the DMZ. It crosses the Imjin River south of the DMZ and was a railroad bridge. It originally had 2 spans but one was destroyed during the war.
<br>After the rail tracks were removed, wooden planks were laid and it was used for vehicular traffic.
<br>It has since be rebuilt and again is a railroad bridge with it's line once again connected to North Korea.
