My first stay at SUMUDU guesthouse, Ambalangoda with Ranjith de SILVA was in 1980, and I stayed there on each following visit to Sri Lanka. Ranjith is extremely helpful and very trustworthy, SUMUDU rooms are clean and neat. the mask museum and Southland masks are nearby. The white sand beaches of Ambalangoda are not crowded by tourists.
