If you look carefully you can see the towering shape of the Banyan Tree Bangkok in this picture. Our room was somewhere on the left hand side as you look at it. As you can probably tell we made the most of this moment of luxury because we knew it was going to get a whole lot dirtier and grubbier a few weeks down the line.
