5/10/07 After already walking to this side of Pompeii we headed to the other side only to be told that the preserved bodies were back where we had started. So after a 30min walk back we found them - they were made back in 1863 when the Director of Excavations poured Plaster of Paris on top of the incinerated bodies to get these casts. They include men, women and children.
