Angkor Thom is the last capital city of the great Khmer Empire. Here are the gates with the first of the famous faces rumoured to possibly be Jayavarman VII, the founder of the city. While Angkor Wat is spectacular and special... these faces are what I remember when I think of these ruins... and entering these gates was really exciting (despite the 35 degree weather, and the Asian bikes we were riding).
