Ummm not really. this is called Habitat 67 and was a showcase building for the world exposition that was held in Montreal. It is still occupied and are considered luxury condos. the Olympic village were 2 triangular shaped buildings.

Hey, thanks for the comments... I was amazed at the design of them. I can fully understand why they would not be considered luxery apartments.

If something similiar went up in Manchester they would go like hot cakes, so much better than the throw up boring high rise apartments we have.

Lovely photo! Unfortunately, the comment is untrue. This is Habitat 67, an award winning appartment complex built at the time of Expo67, during the summer of 1967. Its the chef-d'oeuvre of architect Moshe Safdie, who was barely more than 22 years old at the time. Olympic athletes were lodged in the olympic village, close by the olympic stadium, on the eastern part of the city and it was in 1976.

Ed, how much of a knob are you? I was told by a local whilst there that's what they were used for. Would you like me to try and find the person so you can offer some helpful comments to them too? Dont comment on my blog again unless it's worth reading. Or just get a life, idiot. Don't blog about what you don't know, blah blah blah, meh meh meh. Zzzz
