I was there recently (3/11/08) and LOVED IT! My dinner was excellent, very tasty. I ordered the Mofongo Relleno with grilled beef (steak medium well as ordered), homemade cheese flan and a mojito. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
I went to both Raices restaurant locations. I had a good eating experience at the restaurant in San Juan. But the one in Caguas was not as good. I ordered center cut pork chops and they were over cooked. Don't order the pork chops.

We were directed there by a friend in NC. Locals said it wasn't very good. We trusted our friend and went. The locals win. Service was mediocre. Food was way way over-rated.

The ambience was ELECTRIC!!! and very cultural. The food was excellent and very tasty. If you are looking for a wonderful Puerto-Rican experience you have found the right place, if you want a quiet candle lit dinner look elsewhere! Fun times at Raices for sure.

After walking around trying to find "authentic" Puerto Rican food, we stumbled upon Raices...it was the high light of the evening. The food is incredible and the portions are just right. All the waitresses are dressed as if they are attending a Santeria party, but it fits perfectly with the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant if in the area. The price is very reasonable, and food is dynamite.

I was at Raices Restaurant two weeks ago and had a great experience. The food was great and the decor was very typical of the puertorican culture. It was a wonderful friendly atmosphere. I recommend it highly.

Puerto Rico es siempre un pais de monarcas y aristocracia. Es una en cual la cuna de honor y orgullo son ejemplos de todo lo que es America desde el norte hasta el centro y tal igual el sur.

I LUV IT !! This year was my second time there. Food is like home made and the people are really nice. Recommend to everybody who visits OLD SAN JUAN.
