I am reconstructing a distance past of a place called Matongoni- a place of ruins and the mountain of Vhuhxwa as according to the history of the Senzi people who are now called the Venda people who are now residing in the Soutpansberg mountains, South Africa. Can anyone assist if Tongoni can share more light about the where about of the place called Matongoni.

I think i can be of help concerning the original Matongoni in Tanzania.Remember Matongoni in Zimbabwe was renamed (by our forefathers Vhasenzi) in remembrance of the Matongoni in Tanzania.Vhuxwa is in Zimbabwe it means a grassland!!
