My guide paddled us out into the open prairie of the Okefenokee, passing snakes, turtles, egrets, herons, and, of course, gators, along the way. When we came to this cypress, he anchored the boat and I leaned out and sunk my tripod deep into the water-soaked peat for camera stability away from the gently rocking skiff. With my expensive camera set up a mere inch above the tea-colored water of the swamp, I leaned out of the boat taking photos while my guide kept an eye out for hungry gators. (I still have all my limbs.)
This is a top pick!

Despite the "Alpharetta, Georgia" caption, this image was not taken in Alpharetta, Georgia. Alpharetta is in North Georgia, and is my permanent residence. I'm not sure how it made it into the caption of this image.

This image was taken in the Okefenokee Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, which sits next to the tiny town of Folkston, just above Georgia's southern border.
