Slovakia's third-largest city, Presov is also one of its prettiest and jolliest. Its chief attraction is its lively, well-preserved old town. The church of St. Nicholas (the Cathedral of St. Mikulás) is undoubtedly the most remarkable sight of Presov. In addition, it represents the oldest and the only Gothic religious building preserved in Presov. Its tower affords a sweeping view of the city and beyond. Below the tower, the main road splits and embraces the cathedral in the middle.
