A replica of a Bali Temple greets visitors at the airport. This structure is iconic in all Bali temples, sights and images. It is similar to a South Indian Hindu temple gopuram (entrance tower) . The Indian temples have a doorway below a tower. The Balinese counterpart looks as if the gopuram has been sawed into two halves to provide a passage.
