Way to go Sweetie! I'm proud of you. What an accomplishment! Yes, I guess those Alpine genes are standing you in good stead. We are lolling about a pool in Palm Desert where we are spending 3 months to get away from the congestion of the Olympics. They're setting off fireworks every night in our back yard which is False Creek, a stone's throw from our balcony, and a lot of the roads are closed around our condo. We're following the Olympics on TV, and today, like day before yesterday, we're going to the Beer Hunter Sports Bar in La Quinta to watch the Canada vs. U.S.A. men's hockey. I'm wearing red and white! We, (Jim and I,) and friends from Vancouver, actually fellow RVYC members, were on local TV, as they had an on-the-scene interview of the hockey fans in the sports bar. We Canadians outnumbered the Americans. The Palm Springs area is full of us Canucks and we are having a wonderful social life meeting up with lots of friends here and enjoying the fine weather. It's been unseasonably cool here up until now, with a lot of rain, but we're used to that. Congratulations again on your climb. Love and kisses, Auntie Mary Ann
