The Colosseum is essentially two amphitheaters built together. At the far end of the arena a portion of the floor has been rebuilt, but the floor is mostly eroded and allows you to see the elaborate network of passages under the Colosseum. There were dozens of trap doors that opened on the arena's floor adding to the excitement of the entertainment.
