Everyday we took a small boat from Manado's harbor to get to and from the field sites. While small, the harbor is at the center of large sea-going region, and quite busy at all hours of the day and night. Large ferries come and go as well as traders bringing goods to and from the market (the complex of buildings across the harbor). This photo was taken by Sofyan from the hotel restaurant.
