The Mothers of the Disappeared protesting at Plaza de Mayo in front of the presidential palace. The Mothers of the Disappeared is an association of Argentine mothers whose children "disappeared" during the Dirty War, the military dictatorship between 1976 and 1983. In protests, they wear white head scarves with their children's names embroidered, to symbolize the blankets of the lost children.
