This is the smaller Bhudda (hole!). The second is a few hundred metres to the left, out of shot. The Afghans and Germans are currently securing whats left of this one, hence the scaffolding. Note the caves in the cliff, some of which are old Bhuddist temple rooms. Further north of Bamiyan, internally-displaced families are living in these.
