Aboriginal people on the west coast recognise 6 seasons, therefore tribes maintained no less than 6 villages on their land. They moved between them throughout the year, ensuring the area was not unduly damaged by their presence and continually moving to areas better suited for the climate at that time of the year, they left frames such as this of shelters, when they arrived at a village they would coat the frame with paper bark, stripping it again when they left to make it more durable.
