After lunch on our first day in Weihai we had a small nap before the preparations for dinner. That night we had a Chinese classic and one of my favourite foods, dumplings. The dumplings we had were made on-site by Liang Wei and Uncle, adding to the authenticity of the experience we had. This is a picture of Henk attempting to make a dumpling. The procedure seemed easy enough; get a little pancake of rolled dough, add a bit of meat mixture and squeeze the pancake closed using your fingers. Well to my untrained eyes I thought the Henkster did a good job. But Uncle didn't agree and promptly removed the Henkster from dumpling production duties. Weihai, Shandong province, Eastern China.
