Another legacy of President Houphouët-Boigny's rule is the Basilique de Notre Dame de la Paix de Yamoussoukro (translated in English = Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro). The Basilica is larger in size than St Paul's, but the Vatican forbayed Houphouët-Boigny from making it taller than St Pauls. It is the largest place of Christian worship in the world, and while the locals of Yamoussoukro are fiercely proud of it, like the highways and international airport it has recieved little use.
