This is a video of our hotel room. Here's my review of it: This hotel is amazing. Location is very near to the train station, and all or most attractions are not a long walk from the hotel at all. The hotel itself is traditionally japanese, with very small rooms and typical japanese amenities. They have completely free continental breakfasts and washer/dryer use. The only 'drawback' is that this hotel is meant for Japanese people. As such, they know very little to no english at the front counter. However, only a basic understanding of japanese should be needed for them to understand you. They are very, very nice and cordial. I brought a pre-printed list of places I was interested in going with romanji and kanji characters. I knew enough japanese to ask 'where is it', 'how much is it' and 'how far'. They gave me a map and directions and even called a cab if I needed it (as well as estimated cab and/or train fare). If you don't know any japanese, a phrase book will help you out. The continental breakfast lasts around 3 hours or more. There is also a complimentary drink bar with free drinks 24/7. The only 'problems' with these were that they too are traditionally japanese. The breakfast consists of donuts, riceballs, miso soup, and other japanese dishes. The drinks are a combination of japanese sodas/pop/juices and some coca-cola products. I personally thought the true immersion was a plus, not a negative. And for the cost? This was one of the cheapest places I could find. The service is amazing for what you pay for, and if immersion into Japanese culture is what you're looking for, this hotel is the way to go. Even many hostels cost more than this hotel did!
