I have so many memories of Roscoe, that it's hard to list just a few. For starters, it was my 'domain' when I was the Coshocton Canal Days Festival Princess back in 1996-97. In grade school, we'd go caroling through the restored Canal town at Christmas time. High School brought about Christmas candle-lighting services (in which a gigantic fir tree is decorated with lights and everyone holds a candle and sings) and the Edward E. Montgomery, Jr. piano competition (some of the finest piano playing high schoolers in the county). There's the canal boat you can go for a ride on as well as numerous educational, dinning, and shopping venues. Right outside of the main part of Roscoe lies the Triple Locks Theatre - my home away from home (including performances in 'The Secret Garden', 'Brigadoon', 'Guys and Dolls, Jr.', and 'Our Town'). It's a great place to walk around - past the historic locks (great for senior pics!) - especially during Candle-lighting and the canal and apple butter festivals. On a nice evening, a long stroll through Roscoe into Lake Park (where everything from youth soccer games to big band concerts to playing on the swing-set or activities at the aquatic center ensue).
