THE BEST THING that my family and I did in Antigua was go on a coffee tour just outside of Antigua with a cooperative of "campesino" coffee growers. We learned how they overcome the powerful socio-economic forces to start processing and directly exporting their own coffee. They use bicycle technology, which my kids and I got to try out, and you learn about the REAL Guatemala. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS.
