Hanging Valley, Milford Sound, New Zealand

Stirling Falls are the highest permanent waterfall into Milford Sound, and tumble down from a hanging valley, left behind when the glacier carved out the fjord. When we saw them they were at very low flow - normally the spray flys hundreds of metres across the sound.
