Husavik is so typical of towns in Iceland. Like the Quebequois they like very bright colors. This picture of Husavik in the late afternoon light really showcases the colors. A lot of the houses are sided with corrugated metal sheathing. It looks like the corrugated roofing you see on older buildings in Vermont. It seems to be fastened down the same way, with roofing screws that come with a rubber washer as a seal. It was interesting.
