The long gone Kon-Tiki, a tourist boat which also did night parties while sailing between islands, is parked in its usual spot at Honey Moon Beach on Water Island. It normally brought tourists to buy jewelry, toe-rings, tee-shirts, and drinks from the beach bar, which is where I was standing when I took this picture. Today the Kon-Tiki is no more because it failed a Coast Guard flotation inspection for one of the pontoons in 2003-04 and the owners decided to remove it from service. No word was mentioned about a replacement.

The Kon Tiki Lives Again! Back on the water after a 3 year restoration, totally coast guard approved and ready to make more memories for every passenger, with the lively calypso steel drums, conga line dancing, limbo and much much more! Still located in St. Thomas, the Kon Tiki Glass Bottom Party Raft is cruising daily from St. Thomas Harbor to Honeymoon Beach on Water Island. Kon Tiki is the worlds largest glass bottom boat that anchors over a coral reef and opens it's viewing tanks to the wonderful sea life below, then after a short cruise docks on Honeymoon beach for an hour of fun in the sun & toes in the sand. Kon Tiki will then take a informative St. Thomas Harbor Tour giving some of the islands history before ending the tour.
Do not miss this tour when visiting the US Virgin Islands! It will be fun you will never forget! 340-775-5055 for booking info.
