Our tour guide offered to take us out for some delicious local food, and one of the regional specialities is boiled egg with a duck embryo inside. Yes, you eat the duck embryo as well as the rest of the egg, with a little spoon like a soft boiled egg. We met up with some Japanese travelers on the boat who were much more adventurous than I was, and they actually ate some.
