The spidery things in the center of the photo are not insects-- they're stewed duck tongues, which are deep fried when you order them. I've been told that they're delicious. Please note that as of yet I have no direct evidence of the veracity of this statement. However I did enjoy my first taste of duck stomach today and it was quite tasty so I will attempt to withhold my Western culinary prejudices.

the pictures are enough to make me hungry..... my dream is to go to taiwan,esp. to explore its night markets and sample each and every food sold there..... gastronomic feast .....more than a five-star a la carte.....
